About the Evergreen Community Library Digital Collection
The Evergreen Community Library is digitalizing documents from the local history collections in the library, as well as the documents from Metamora Area Historical Society's collection that is housed in the public library. The Evergreen Community Library also houses the Fulton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society's collection. Through a partnership, both organizations have been digitalizing the obituaries from local newspapers from Fulton County, Ohio and are submitting them to the Hayes Presidential Center's Obituary Index for digital access.
The holdings of the collection include the histories and photographs of:
- Area schools from Berkey, (Ai) Fulton, Chesterfield, Lyons, and Metamora
- Local businesses from Berkey and Metamora, Ohio
- Social events and organizations
- Military documents from the Civil War, WWI, WWII
